Kite Fest has become a premier kiting event, attracting kite enthusiasts from across the country and Canada.

Come harness the wind and join in the fun of Jamestown’s annual Kite Fest.

Every year in June, kite enthusiasts from around the U.S. and Canada claim the sky for a three day weekend of good, clean, American fun. Sponsored by Wings on Strings Kite Club and Jamestown Parks and Recreation, this event is free to everyone.

Contests for the kids, kite making, concessions, inflatable air games, demonstrations, door prizes, and music fill the weekend. The festival takes place at Meidinger Park Field (10th St. & 17th Ave. SW). If you look up, you’ll see it long before you get there—a blue June sky filled with the swooping color of kites.
