Join Us at the viewing area at the back of the museum
You can watch Jamestown’s live buffalo herd grazing the prairie grasses beneath a wide North Dakota sky.
This herd was once home to the rare white buffalo, White Cloud, and her son, Dakota Miracle. White Cloud passed in 2016 and is now on display within the museum.
White buffalo are held sacred by Native American tradition, a sign of peace, unity, earth stewardship, and plenty. The white buffalo is rare—one in ten million. Connect with the history and lore surrounding these beautiful and majestic creatures as you tour the North American Bison Discovery Center.
The gift shop within the museum offers beautiful bison themed apparel, fine art, gifts, home goods, and jewelry. The book lover will enjoy the selection of books and related materials. Games and toys will delight the younger generations and help them remember their adventure at the North American Bison Discovery Center.
